Abani's mission has always been to offer you fashion accessories that protect you from the nasty and now recurring heat waves, side effects of global warming that we are keen to limit as much as possible. In 2020 our disgust is massive, and we want to go further, so we too are getting involved, like many other fashion houses right now. In order to rethink the way we love and consume fashion, here are our 5 #challenges for 2021 - and we will get there!

1. USE ONLY BIODEGRADABLE & CONSCIOUS MATERIALS For our fans we have always used wood and cotton. We are looking for an alternative for our straps, for which we do not control the material’s origin. The biggest parts will be to find impeccable and eco-cert paint. We are also working with our artisans to obtain eco-cert certification for our fabrics.	2.  MINIMUM CARBON FOOTPRINT AND #NOPLASTIC For this, we are creating relay warehouses in France and in Spain and we are looking for new ones in the French overseas departments and territories, in the UK, in Belgium and in Italy. Our points of sale can of course volunteer. (contact us here) For the moment we still ship in bubble envelopes but as soon as the stock ends, we’ll switch to all paper, more expensive for us but more recyclable. #nomoreplastic !
3. OUR GOAL: #ZEROWASTE To minimize waste, our unsold stocks are dismantled, and the wood reused to reassemble new fans. #Nodeadtreefornothing. With our fabrics’ leftovers, we make mirrors to match with our fans. We have tried masks, but the fabric is not suitable (it’s woven too large, so it does not filter particles well enough)	4. A 100% MADE IN EUROPE PRODUCT Our products are made by our artisans in Aldaia, Spain, the birthplace of fan manufacturing for over 150 years. Our straps are made in Mallorca. So we're almost there! We now use the vast majority of Spanish wood.

5. OFFER AN ACCESSORY TO USE FOR 10 YEARS

We've always been huge fans of the perfect fashion piece that you keep wearing 10 years. We design our prints so that you keep liking them as long as possible and our products so that they live with you every day, despite the keys scratching them, the drink hour’s stains and other proofs of a life that is properly lived. Despite the varnish, despite the protective dustbag, we know that the fan is damaged and so as not to see you throw it (or burn it in the fireplace) we suggest that you return it to us when you want a new one (with your purchase invoice please). Upon receipt, you will receive a 20% discount code to offer you a brand new, beautiful fan.
